County Medical Center to Bring Health Care Services to Oasis
OASIS – General medical exams, sick child visits and vision screenings are some of the health care services available free of charge to all Riverside County residents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at San Felipe Community & Housing at 67-305 Harrison (Old Highway 86) in Oasis.
“I am delighted that Riverside County Regional Medical Center’s new mobile health clinic will be making its first visit to the Coachella Valley today,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit. “I hope many take the opportunity to access health care services at this mobile clinic.”
Program services also include healthcare education, immunizations, vaccinations and screening and treatment of chronic health conditions, such as blood pressure and diabetes in adults and children. No appointment is necessary.
In 2007, the Southern California Division of KB Home formed a partnership with the Riverside County Regional Medical Center Foundation, committing to raise $1 million by 2021 to further the foundation’s mission. To that end, the proceeds from the first five years of the KB Home Golf Classic were used to purchase the mobile health clinic, which began serving Riverside County residents in June.
The mobile clinic is scheduled to visit San Felipe Community & Housing on the second Thursday of each month.
