Benoit to Ride in Two Holiday Parades Saturday

PALM DESERT – Supervisor John J. Benoit will ride in the 20th Annual Indio International Tamale Festival Parade and the 20th Annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade on Saturday.

“The Tamale Festival and Festival of Lights Parades are cherished holiday traditions that bring the entire community together,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit. “I am deeply appreciative of our local businesses that have helped make these annual attractions better than ever.”

The Tamale Festival Parade starts at 10 a.m. at Miles Avenue and Deglet Noor Street and proceeds east on Miles to Oasis Street, then south on Oasis to Wilson Avenue.

The Festival of Lights Parade starts at 5:45 p.m. and travels through downtown Palm Springs on historic Palm Canyon Drive, starting at Ramon Road and ending at Tamarisk Road.
