Supervisor Benoit’s Youth Advisory Council to Spread Holiday Cheer to Foster Children Sunday

PALM SPRINGS – Supervisor John J. Benoit’s Youth Advisory Council members will assist For The Children, a nonprofit that supports foster children, in a Christmas party from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hilton in Palm Springs, 400 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way.

“The Coachella Valley and Blythe area students in my Youth Advisory Council have diligently collected gifts to make Christmas special for children living in foster homes,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit. “I’m proud of them for being caring and concerned about the well-being of these children.”

Supervisor Benoit’s YAC members have collected more than 100 gifts for children ranging from newborns to 17 years old. At the event, Santa will distribute the gifts to each foster child and YAC members will sing carols and build gingerbread houses with the children.
