Workshops to Focus on Transportation Needs and Planning
PALM DESERT – The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) is gathering feedback to help plan projects and public transit services to address the mobility needs of older adults, people with disabilities and low-income individuals.
Two workshops will be held Wednesday: from 10 a.m. to noon at the City of Blythe Council Chambers, 235 N. Broadway, and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Palm Desert at the Coachella Valley Association of Governments’ Conference Room 119, 73-710 Fred Waring Drive.
“The public is invited to contribute ideas on gaps in service and unmet transportation needs to assist the Transportation Commission’s planning efforts for the next decade,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit, chair of RCTC.
Two more workshops on the Riverside County Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Coordination Plan will be held in Riverside and Wildomar on Jan. 19. Those unable to attend may submit comments by Feb. 15 to PlanUpdate@hotmail.com.
