Supervisor Benoit To Attend, Listen To Community Concerns At Thermal and Oasis Community Councils Meeting
THERMAL – Riverside County Supervisor John J. Benoit will be formally welcomed as he presents opening remarks before both the Thermal and Oasis Community Councils at a special joint meeting to be held Monday, January 11 at 6 PM in auditorium M-8 of Toro Canyon Middle School in Thermal (86-150 Avenue 66). Updates on swine flu, community improvement projects, and the U.S. Census will also be presented during the meeting.
“These Community Council meetings are excellent opportunities to gather major county departments together to serve the needs of residents in our unincorporated communities,” said Fourth District Supervisor John J. Benoit. “I look forward to becoming acquainted with community concerns and providing any assistance that I can.”
There are thirteen Community Councils established in the Fourth District, meeting regularly, to serve the residents of: Bermuda Dunes, Desert Edge, Desert Palms, Indio Hills, Mecca, Mesa Verde, North Shore, Oasis, Ripley, Sky Valley, Thermal, Thousand Palms, and Vista Santa Rosa.
Supervisor John J. Benoit represents the Fourth District on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Stretching from the Palm Springs area south to the Salton Sea and east to the Colorado River, it is the largest geographical district in the county.
