Supervisor Benoit To Participate In Vista Santa Rosa Community Clean-Up Saturday
VISTA SANTA ROSA – Riverside County Supervisor John J. Benoit will be thanking volunteers and participating in a clean-up effort Saturday, January 9 at 10:30 AM in the Vista Santa Rosa community. The site is located on the corner of Avenue 62 and Van Buren (from the 86 Expressway, South, exit Avenue 62 to the right).
“Illegal dumping is a serious problem that plagues our rural areas and I am committed to continuing my career-long fight against it,” said Fourth District Supervisor John J. Benoit. “ I look forward to participating and thanking the many volunteers and professionals who work diligently to beautify our community.”
Saturday’s clean-up effort is a collaborative effort with the Riverside County Code Enforcement Community Improvement Program, Americorps, volunteers, and businesses. The clean-up will run from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a lunch at 10:30 AM. All equipment is provided and lunch will be donated by Nachhattar Chandi (owner/operator of the Mecca Travel Center). Supervisor John J. Benoit represents the Fourth District on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Stretching from the Palm Springs area south to the Salton Sea and east to the Colorado River, it is the largest geographical district in the county.
Please note: Supervisor Benoit’s Office will be closed every Friday through June 30, 2010 per order of the Board of Supervisors on 7/21/2009. Benoit’s regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
