Thousand Palms Community Fair to Feature Local Businesses & Resources
THOUSAND PALMS – The community is invited to the Thousand Palms Community Center, 31-198 Robert Rd., from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 for a free fair that will showcase Thousand Palms businesses and available resources for residents.
“This business expo features some small businesses that are located in Thousand Palms, which has a vibrant business community just north of Interstate 10,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit. “I invite people to come by and see what’s in their community and bring their families for the free, food, drinks and entertainment that will be provided.”
There will be 16 booths, with Thousand Palms-based businesses participating and resources from the county and state such as the Employment Development Department and Riverside County Economic Development Agency and Department of Public Social Services.
Participants can enter a free raffle for prizes. There will also be food, drinks and entertainment at no cost for the whole family.
Supervisor Benoit, a member of the Coachella Valley Enterprise Zone Authority, will make awards presentations to two Thousand Palms businesses. Regional Avionics Repair LLC, which repairs avionic electronics, will be awarded Enterprise Zone Business of the Year for its continued investment in Riverside County. Coachella Valley Brewing Co. will be honored as New Business of the Year.
The event is hosted by the Coachella Valley Enterprise Zone, Thousand Palms Chamber of Commerce, Desert Recreation District and County of Riverside.
