Presentation Monday to Help Residents Navigate New Health Insurance Options
INDIO – Riverside County residents can get informed on health insurance options for themselves and their families by attending a free presentation at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 at the Fullenwider Auditorium of the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio, 46-350 Arabia St.
“The Affordable Care Act is here and the county, Desert Healthcare District and The California Endowment want Coachella Valley residents to get covered,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit. “This free presentation is geared toward self-employed, underemployed and unemployed individuals needing information to make their health insurance choices.”
Representatives from the Desert Healthcare District, The California Endowment, Inland Empire Health Plan and Insure the Uninsured Project will make presentations about health care insurance options and the difference among plans.
People will have the opportunity to connect with non-profit organizations and also hear from representatives of the Riverside County Regional Medical Center and Department of Public Social Services. If scheduling permits, Supervisor Benoit will offer closing remarks.
