Thousand Palms Community Clean-Up Scheduled Saturday
THOUSAND PALMS – All residents within the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms will have the opportunity to dispose of bulky trash items, including tires, for free on Saturday.
The items will be accepted at the parking lot of Della S. Lindley Elementary School in Thousand Palms, 31-495 Robert Rd., from 8 a.m. to noon.
Acceptable bulky items include tires – up to nine per trip, furniture, large appliances, tree limbs and branches, electronic waste and small appliances. Hazardous material, batteries, pool chemicals, transmission and brake fluids, herbicides, fertilizers, gasoline, motor parts, fluorescent light bulbs, paint, anti-freeze, engines, motor oil, tub and tile cleaners and bleach will not be accepted.
The Thousand Palms Community Clean-Up is made possible by the Riverside County Waste Management Department and Burrtec Waste & Recycling Services, with the support of Supervisor John J. Benoit.
