Tickets on Sale for 2016 Senior Inspiration Awards Luncheon
PALM DESERT – Tickets are on sale for the 2016 Annual Senior Inspiration Awards, the 24th annual event honoring 11 outstanding volunteers, senior citizens 65 years and older, who inspire others through their volunteerism and contributions to the community.
More than 500 people annually attend this luncheon, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. March 25 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, 74-855 Country Club Dr.
“Riverside County and all nine Coachella Valley cities join in recognizing caring citizens who give countless hours of service to make our community such a wonderful place to live,” said Supervisor John J. Benoit. “They are role models for all ages who inspire us through their active lifestyles and exemplary volunteer spirit. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to get to know this year’s unsung heroes!”
New this year, tickets are on sale online through Eventbrite: seniorinspirationawards.eventbrite.com. Tickets are also available to purchase by calling Pat Cooper at 760-863-2556 and sending a check payable to “Regional Access Project Foundation” to Pat Cooper, 73-710 Fred Waring Dr., Suite 222, Palm Desert, CA 92260.
Tickets are $30 per person and include salad, choice of ancho-glazed chicken breast or salmon or vegetarian entrée, and dessert.
The 2016 honorees are: Mary Rodriguez and André Kaz (Riverside County), Louis (Lou) Perez (Cathedral City), Jose Valadez (Coachella), Alicia Moya (Desert Hot Springs), John Rosellini (Indian Wells), Blanche Martinez (Indio), Bob Leidner (La Quinta), Mary Helen Kelly (Palm Desert), Sid Craig (Palm Springs) and Elizabeth Demyanek (Rancho Mirage).
Brooke Beare and Patrick Evans of CBS Local 2 will serve as the masters of ceremonies.
