Judy Vossler to Join Coachella Valley Cemetery District Board
PALM DESERT – Businesswoman and Coachella Valley community leader Judy Vossler will join the Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District board of trustees.
At the recommendation of Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, Vossler was appointed by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors last week to fill a vacancy on the district board. She will be sworn in at her first board meeting tomorrow, May 14.
“Judy Vossler has been a pillar of the Coachella Valley community for many years,” said Supervisor Perez. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this community service role. I look forward to her contributions to take the district to the next level.”
Vossler is a retired business executive whose career focused on fiscal management, customer service and community participation. She was general manager of the La Quinta Resort, vice president of Landmark Golf Company and senior vice president and interim CEO of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Long active in many organizations, she currently serves on the board of directors for the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Boys & Girls Clubs of Coachella Valley and the Desert Town Hall Speaker Series. Vossler resides in Palm Desert.
“Since 1927, Coachella Valley Public Cemetery has been a very special place for thousands of families, mine included. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on Riverside County’s special district board and to participate in the preservation and future needs of these hallowed grounds,” stated Judy Vossler.
The Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District is an independent special district that serves the public cemetery needs of the district, which spans 3,444 square miles in the Coachella Valley. In 2018, the Board of Supervisors, at the request of the cemetery district, increased the three member board to five trustees.
Vossler joins Dr. Bruce Underwood, Ernesto Rosales, John Rios and Marcos Coronel Jr. on the board.
