Appointment Vacancies
Various boards, councils and commissions provide guidance and recommendations for county services in unincorporated communities and public policy issues, such as child care and early education, for the County of Riverside.
I am seeking dedicated residents who are available and willing to share their time and expertise to serve on these boards. These appointed positions are wonderful opportunities to serve and shape your community.
There are currently vacancies on each of the following (as of March 28, 2012):
- County/City Arroyo-Watershed Committee, two seats
- County Free Library Advisory Committee, one seat
- In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee, one seat
- Mental Health Board, one seat
- North Shore Community Council, two seats
- Ripley Community Council, three seats
- Riverside County Children & Families Commission (First 5 Riverside), one alternate seat
- Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District Advisory Commission, one seat
- Solid Waste Management Advisory Council, one alternate seat
- Workforce Investment Board, multiple seats
